107 Faunos from Argentina, Brazilian Hermeto Pascoal, Colombian rapper Kei Linch, Cimafunk from Cuba, the solo debut of Spanish Ale Acosta, Mexican duo Juanpalitoschinos and Uruguayan rapper Knak are some of the interesting proposals we highlight this month in our Panorama, a joint article by the media that make up Faro (Alianza de medios culturales y musicales Iberoamericanos) that seeks to point out those releases that should be taken into account by all music lovers in the region.

Comparative vandalism - 107 Faunos
107 Faunos' seventh album is an ode to nostalgia encapsulated in eight songs that resonate with the viscerality of better times that may never have existed. Comparative vandalism mixes sweet distortions and existential lyrics that dance between melancholy and hope. Collaborations with J from Los Planetas and Niño Elefante from El Mató a un Policía Motorizado add a touch of familiarity to this polychromatic collage that doesn't seek to reinvent the wheel, but to gracefully spin on familiar ground.
From the peaceful My devilto the frenetic Rapid sandthe band from La Plata reminds us that, in a world where everything seems ephemeral, the essence of authenticity is still a precious refuge. Happy promise and December, March capture the anguish of the everyday, whereas Tonight offers a fleeting escape from the rhythm of unfulfilled desires. With subtle irony and stark honesty, 107 Faunos not only stays true to their signature sound, but also embraces the uncertainty of our times with a wisdom that only the years can bestow.

Pra você, Ilza - Hermeto Pascoal
At 87 years old and boasting of health and vigor, the "sorcerer" Hermeto Pascoal opens his heart in Pra você, Ilzaan album dedicated to the memory of his wife Ilza da Silva, with whom he lived for 46 years and had six children. The album comes 24 years after Ilza's departure. Between 1999 and 2000, Hermeto wrote 198 scores in a notebook dedicated to his beloved, and only now has he decided to record part of the material, choosing 13 themes to pay homage to Ilza and enchant the listener. Accompanied by André Marques (piano), Jota P (saxophone), Itiberê Zwarg (bass), Ajurinã Zwarg (drums) and Fábio Pascoal (percussion), Hermeto arrived at the studio with the raw score, and was indicating to the musicians how the arrangement should sound. The result is a timeless and moving album. Recorded by Miles Davis and recently named doctor honoris causa by the prestigious Juilliard of New York, Hermeto demonstrates with Pra você, Ilza that has material to enchant us for a decade or more. Dulcinea - kei lynch
Dulcinea is the Colombian rapper's first album which, in her words, perfectly explains her essence: to be sweet and nea (i.e. something like from the street). In 16 songs Kei Linch opens her heart and her life, while exploring the different colors of her voice over hip hop, R&B, RKT, popular music and Neo Soul. As complex as the day to day feeling, this album goes through all emotions: from gratitude, spite, love, rage and pride of being a female rapper in a genre that is not usually easy for women.
Kei invites us on an introspective journey through four emotional states, each represented by a symbol: the first state, symbolized by the radiant sun, envelops us in a blanket of gratitude. Songs like Blessed & Lucky and 180 kmalong with Cali-born Junior Zamora, celebrate the blessings of life and the fortune found in simplicity. As we move forward, a broken heart takes center stage, encapsulating themes of heartbreak and disillusionment. The Best Night Of My Life <3 and Hechixeríatogether with MelyMel, explore the depths of heartbreak and betrayal. The dagger, symbol of inner strength, takes us into an "ego trip", songs such as Iss$shhh and Bil mode show a Kei who defies the norms and reclaims control of her narrative. Finally, the journey returns to the sun, but this time with an aspirational tone. Songs like Everything Changes remind us how changeable life is.

Cimafunk does it again. A few hours in a studio in Bogota were enough to turn the instant chemistry with the Colombians of Monseiur Periné into a track that should already be on every playlist of the summer. On a cold night in May, hundreds of people crowded to hear for the first time Kápsulathe second album of knack. It was only one listen, but the public experienced it as if it were a showThe audience: screaming along with every verse they already knew, pogo-pogo on the most powerful songs, listening attentively and getting excited with the most heartfelt lyrics.
Because Kápsula not only captures Knak fulfilling his goal of raising his own bar and putting Uruguay more firmly on the trap map, but it is -before all this- a chronicle of his meteoric rise, and a candid behind-the-scenes account of the work and emotional toll it took.
Thus, he opens his heart either by telling of his love sorrows and his accomplished goals, or by including audios of his family, expressing in tears how proud they feel. But she also explores new musical terrains with her collaborator Tadu Vázquez in artistic production and in the microphone and production company of artists like ZeballosLucho SSJ, louis angelero and Barta.
