Design: Pedro Bopp. Faro presents ¡Unan Todo!, the alliance's first recording project
On May 4, Faro will release the alliance's first recording project. The EP Unite Everything! will arrive with a Brazilian flavor but also with the intention of dissolving borders in music, uniting five artists from the South American giant with some peers from Colombia, Argentina, Venezuela, Uruguay and Mexico.
The idea was born in Brazil by producers Leonardo Vinhas and Rodrigo Stradiotto -also a musician-, who had worked together on We are!a record that brought together home recordings of musicians from around the world, made at the beginning of the pandemic. Shortly after, Netflix released the documentary They break everything! which presented a partial vision of the history of Latin American rock. This also contributed to the inspiration.
"This documentary ignores Brazilian artists and several essential names from other countries. Besides, the moment was not to break, but to unite. That's why we had the idea of calling the project Unite Everything!"explains Vinhas.
Under this premise, this EP was born, which was immediately adopted by Faro. While the Brazilian media Scream&Yell -member of the alliance and also a record label- served as the home of the EP that will have its international digital distribution through Tratore.
Unite Everything! is also a remarkable example of Rodrigo Stradiotto's talent as a producer. According to Leonardo Vinhas himself, "he was in charge of mixing and mastering, and managed to unite technically disparate recordings, with such different aesthetic proposals. This is a job that few would be able to do, and even fewer would be able to produce such a particular sound. Rodrigo's work is largely responsible for the sonic strength of the album".
The international track list of the EP is as follows:
black mamba / Pahua (Mexico) feat. The Raulis (Brazil)
hummingbird / Catalina Avila (Colombia) feat. Dúo Finlandia (Brazil/Argentina)
somewhere / Romina Peluffo (Uruguay) feat. Rodrigo Stradiotto (Brazil)
Lido / Andrés Correa (Colombia) feat. Marcelo Callado (Brazil)
People are rare / Juan Olmedillo (Venezuela) feat. Terremotor (Brazil)
The first track will be available from March 18 on all platforms of streaming. In it, Pahua and The Raulis will make you dance and shake off everything negative to the rhythm of a sensual, addictive and psychedelic pop that you won't be able and won't want to run away from.

"black mamba is the first song we've done with someone from outside Brazil, and it was definitely a great pleasure to do this collaboration with Pahua. We didn't know her before Faro's invitation, and we were impressed with her talent and how much she brought to the composition. The Raulis have always been eager to connect with Latin music, but we haven't had the opportunity to travel to our neighboring countries yet. Composing and producing this song in collaboration with Paulina, in a way, makes us reach beyond our borders," says Gabriel Izidoro, keyboardist of Los Raulis.
While Pahua says about the process of creating this first single together: "The way of working with Los Raulis was collaborative: we started with a simple idea, and in a back and forth of messages, the song came to life with varied colors. I really like how the guitars are the backbone of the song, which responds with very sweet and crisp transitions. The truth is that I am very happy with this collaboration between Brazil and Mexico, and I would love to do something like this again in the future".
The cover of black mambaas well as the EP in general, was designed and elaborated by Brazilian artist Pedro Bopp, who decided to follow a minimalist line that characterizes the visual identity of each project and its musical style.
The Faro alliance brings together 11 media from 10 countries (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Spain, Peru, Mexico and Uruguay) and joins forces to promote Ibero-American music and culture.
