By Juampa Barbero / indie today
Last month, the bipolar climate of the winter season favored both those who sought the warmth of the shows live like the heated shelter of movie theaters. Between bright and dark days, the month of July brought us new songs, movies and books that filled our days with emotions. Here we recommend some of those titles in a brief review of what happened:
My Invincible Friend set the course for the long-awaited successor to his album dutsiland (2019) with the premiere of two previews: The spider and Olympic. Luckily for us, the appearance of the eighth album by the group from Mendoza is imminent.
The first of these singles It was accompanied by a dreamy and emotional video, in which the group releases a breath of fresh air filled with the poetic and melodious overtones that characterize their proposal. The spider it's a ranchera ballad influenced by the sound of the seventies that, with grace, tenderness and elegance, shoots an arrow straight to the depths of the heart. For its part, Olympic it is a refined and scorching song that has the special participation of Martín Buscaglia. Oscillating between the dreamlike and the delirious, the captivating voice of the Uruguayan singer-songwriter and producer enhances the energetic groove of surreal soul of the song. A few days after these brand new premieres, they swept all the tickets of their show at Niceto Club in which they reviewed their extensive repertoire along with a couple of new songs.
