We open Newness Cuba this week with From youthe most recent musical proposal of the performer and composer Charly Siababased in Houston. Jhamy, an artist that blends a reggae spirit with beats urban, enters the playlist with The Dreamswhile Indian Man joins forces with La Dame Blanche to present us with She Wolfa collaboration where the Cuban flautist brings out her wildest side.
The international flow Vargas' impeccable "El Urbano" Barbaro Vargas appears again in our selection with They Want to See Youwhile the Akokán Orchestra delights us with SnailsThe song that gives its name to her new and very successful album. We also have Belladonna, who for her first production counted on the help of Chezca Zana and together they bring the theme P.U.T.A.a single that marks his formal debut in the Cuban music scene.
NG La Banda surprises with their salsa version of Monacoa reinterpretation of the popular song by Bad Bunny, who had already done the same with the sample of Hier encoreby Charles Aznavour. The new album by Danay Suárez, CHANGEis already here, and from it we highlight NO ONE OWNSThis song reaffirms the tremendous range of this artist.
Also making his full-length debut is Lose My Name, a Havana-based producer and DJ, who presents Tiger Don't Crya collaboration with Lester Domínguez and Jorge Iván Martín, which belongs to his album TIGER. We close this week's selection with the trombonist and producer Diansy López, who released Sampling VibesThis is the title track of an EP in which he explores and shares some of his sonic concerns.
