Sound map of Los Sitios

When I started working in the magazine for the month of August there was an idea hanging in the air, it was about making an audiovisual mapping about what people hear in Havana. I was out there with my desire to put the camera in front of people's faces to ask them questions, so I decided that this was a good excuse and I grabbed the idea in my hands. I was supposed to go to some space in the city asking everyone who had headphones on what they were hearing at that moment.

I went to Los Sitios, a neighborhood in Centro Habana, which can be reached from all over Reina going up and down its entrecales. There, people sit in the narrowest containment of the sidewalks, meet to talk on the corners, do business in the portals, walk in the middle of the street, always pretend that it is still Sunday and play loud music everywhere. voice. That's why I approached anyone no matter what they were doing, everyone was listening to the songs on the scene anyway, so I just asked them what music they preferred. The result was a video that shows what a Havana neighborhood sounds like. It will be the first of many, through which we will honor the city.
