3rd International Meeting of Collectors and Music Lovers to be held in Havana
Empresa de Grabaciones y Ediciones Musicales, Egrem, announces the 3rd International Meeting of Collectors and Music Lovers: La Isla que suena, to be held in Havana on June 21, 22 and 23. All Cuban music lovers and collectors willing to enjoy a program with a variety of attractions are invited to participate.
The facilities of the El Jelengue hall of the historic Areito Studios of the Egrem will host discussions, workshops and master classes with virtuoso musicians who will offer their knowledge on the fundamental keys of Cuban sonorities.
Among the thematic axes of the talks will be women in bolero and the history of rumba in Cuba, by musicologists, researchers and musicians. In addition, there will be a master class on the historical styles of the flute in Cuban music.
The program includes a space for interviews with musicians, exchange with collectors and music lovers from different parts of the world, as well as a fair for the exhibition and commercialization of vinyls, CDs, DVDs, USBs, musical instruments, record catalogs, crafts, music books, sheet music and other communication products associated with the music industry.
On the other hand, you will be able to enjoy live performances by some of the most popular Cuban artists advocates of genres such as jazz, timba, rumba and traditional Cuban music.
