Design: Pablo Larralda. Photographs: Mayra A. Martínez and Rigoberto Romero.

This album is the result of a mother singing forever and the secret pleasure of hearing her hum the soap and the clothes, the beans, the floor and the cloth. It is the result of the songs with which the alphabetizers tried to drive away the attributes of the night and history, south of Las Villas, near the Escambray. It is the result of the song of an October night of nineteen sixty-two. It is the smell of the mangals of a military camp where any soldier, at dawn, will ask for secrets from that great animal that is the guitar. Here there is the partial blindness of theaters and studios, but there is much more of the constant eye on the spectacle of Havana, the mestizo city of our America... Here there are men and events so great that it would not be right to put them because their dimensions would exceed in much the edges of this simple hemisphere.

Everything said means a time: time in which the hand of man guides the fire and the tool as the song already leads. For this reason, these songs are full of rage and love (which are other rage) that are of this time. That is why these songs have La Trova: not only because this is a tradition, but because it is a contemporary tradition.

CREDITS

"Like Waiting for April" – 3:24

"Playa Girón" – 3:24

"The Major" – 3:34

"The Shame" – 3:15

"I Dream of Snakes" – 5:33

"Little Daytime Serenade" – 2:58

"This Song" – 4:00

"I Say the Stars" – 3:29

"In the Moonlight" – 4:57

“Santiago de Chile” – 4:23

"Days and Flowers" – 4:01

Musicians

Silvio Rodríguez – Guitar, Vocals
Emiliano Salvador – Piano
Frank Fernandez – keyboards
Eduardo Ramos – Bass
Pancho Amat – Guitar, Tres
Pablo Menéndez – Guitar, Tres, Electric Guitar
Daniel Aldama – Percussion
Ignacio Berroa – Drums, Percussion
Leoginaldo Pimentel – Drums, Percussion
Norberto Carrillo – Percussion
Luis Ballard – Flute
EGREM Orchestra – Strings
Orlando Valera – Soprano sax in “Little daytime serenade”

Production team

Jerzy Belc – Engineer
Recorded at the EGREM recording studio (Havana, Cuba) between 1974 and 1975.
Lyrics and music: Silvio Rodríguez.
Producer: Frank Fernandez
Arrangements: Frank Fernández, Eduardo Ramos and Silvio Rodríguez

To Violeta Rodríguez The song was not made for the stage and the book is not the pretext for poetry, as a son never appears before love.

[1039,8906
5125,1038,719,111
420
post-4428","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-dando-la-nota","category-variaciones","tag-dias-y-flores","tag-notas-discograficas","tag-nueva-trova","tag-silvio-rodriguez

https://i0.wp.com/magazineampm.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/detalle-portada-album-D%C3%ADas-y-Flores.jpg?fit=1469%2C727&ssl=1
["GET
