Here comes the second episode of M\u00fasica cubana: armar el rompecabezas, this recently released series produced by Radio Gladys Palmera, in collaboration with AMPM Producciones and the support of the Spanish Embassy in Cuba, within the framework of the ACERCA Program for Training for Development in the Cultural Sector of the Spanish Cooperation. This time, the dialogue focuses on the theme Cuba, musical processes in periods of crisis. The space, moderated by Anabel L. Rabell, philologist and member of AMPM's editorial board, had as interviewees Rafael Valdivia, singer and vinyl collector; cultural manager, SGAE delegate in Cuba Darsi Fernandez, both members of AMPM's editorial board; journalist and music critic Joaquin Borges Triana, and young musician Frank Mitchel.<\/p>\n
The thematic axes address the main periods of crisis that the country has gone through, as well as the elements that distinguish them; together with the impact of the different types of crisis (economic, political, social) on the Cuban music scene, both for musicians and the public. From different points of view, the impact of crisis factors on musical creation in Cuba in contexts of resilience and, in addition to the above, the emergence of new musical phenomena and scenes was also analyzed.<\/p>\n
