U.S. singer-songwriter Peter More will offer two concerts in the Cuban capital, along with his band and Havana Friends, a group made up of Havana-based musicians, on February 23 and 24.<\/p>\n
The first concert will take place at the theater of the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes at 7:00 p.m., while the second will be at the F\u00e1brica de Arte Cubano (F.A.C.) at 10:00 p.m.<\/p>\n
He will be accompanied by Jos\u00e9 Poyatos, Lee Falco & Olivia Mills, with musical direction by Pepe Gavilondo.<\/p>\n
Peter More is an American musician based in Texas. He got his start in Texas, where he joined Spanish flamenco guitarist Jos\u00e9 Juan Poyatos, Mexican bassist Diego Noyola and French-American drummer Adrien Faunce in San Miguel de Allende. Their debut album, Beautiful Disrepair<\/i>and a follow-up EP entitled Shoulder<\/i> were produced by American musician and composer Donald Fagen.<\/p>\n
After two years of national and international touring, More announced the release of two new singles with former Fugees collaborator and Grammy-nominated American producer John Fort\u00e9.<\/p>\n
In this production Peter has unified two musical themes of very different origins, Instead<\/i> and Chan Chan<\/i>The latter was written by Cuban musician Compay Segundo and popularized by the Buena Vista Social Club.<\/p>\n
The site also indicates that the singer-songwriter is back in the studio with Fort\u00e9, who is also producing his next EP.<\/p>\n
The magazine Rolling Stone<\/i> has defined Peter More's music as \"more modern material that ranges from ballad folk<\/i> to the country<\/i> and to soul-rock<\/i> quiet\".<\/p>\n
With this visit to the island, Peter More joins the list of American artists who have performed on Cuban stages in recent months, among them Thrombon Shorty and Big Freedia.<\/p>\n
