Cuban singer-songwriter Pedro Luis Ferrer has scheduled a series of presentations in Cuba, confirmed for April and May 2024. These events mark the artist's return to Cuban stages, reaffirming his position as one of the most outstanding exponents of Cuban trova and popular music.<\/span><\/p>\n

The performances are scheduled to take place in several cities of the island, starting at the F\u00e1brica de Arte Cubano on April 26. They will be followed by performances at El Mejunje in Santa Clara on May 2, at the Terry Theater in Cienfuegos on May 4, and will conclude at the capital's Sala Covarrubias on May 9. Accompanied by his daughter Lena and his backing band, Pedro Luis Ferrer aims to offer audiences a musical experience through his rich songbook. These concerts follow the remembered double performance of the summer of 2023<\/a>which marked his return to the Cuban stages after a considerable period of time. They are also part of an effort by the artist to keep alive his connection with the Cuban audience, despite his itinerant residence between Europe and the United States in recent decades. These presentations will be a good opportunity for new generations to experience live the work of one of Cuba's most influential musicians.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pedro Luis Ferrer was born in the province of Sancti Sp\u00edritus in 1952 and his inclination towards music made him grow as a self-taught guitarist. He has toured much of Europe and the world with his music and is one of the most important exponents of the Cuban trova, using forms deeply rooted in poetry such as the d\u00e9cima and the redondilla, and bringing to his work orchestral formats beyond the guitar.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
