This is an initiative of the Fondo de Arte Joven (FAJ) together with cultural institutions such as NG Art Gallery and the Habana Cl\u00e1sica music festival, and its objective is to support the production and development of creative proposals in the field of musicology, composition and interpretation.<\/p>\n<p>The call for proposals ran from June 30 to July 21, during which time a total of 62 proposals were received from all over the country. The seven projects approved were <em>Much more than words<\/em>by Dayron Ort\u00edz, dedicated to the music of Martha Vald\u00e9s; <em>Via D'Escape<\/em>by clarinetist Alejandro <em>Coqui<\/em> Calzadilla; <em>Leo, the indispensable soul<\/em>by cellist Amaya Justiz Robert, member of the string quartet Alma; <em>Live Sessions - Annys Batista<\/em>by the singer of the same name; <em>Changes color<\/em>by Kadir Gonz\u00e1lez, and <em>SonG\u00e1lvez: Sisters in Concert<\/em>by Wendy Oram; and <em>Assault to heaven<\/em>a proposal by Jorge A. Fern\u00e1ndez Acosta, keyboardist and director of the rock band Hist\u00e9resis.<\/p>\n<p>According to statements by Fondo de Arte Joven officials, the selected proposals respond to criteria such as sustainability, quality and impact on the artist's professional future. The winners are currently in dialogue with the institution's team to finalize budgets and more details. From FAJ's social media profiles we can keep updated on the course that the careers of the classified artists may take.<\/p>\n<p>The Fondo de Arte Joven is a cultural institution born in the digital space in January of this year. So far it has been actively involved in the support of artists in training or self-taught. The program Proof of this is that it recently launched the second call for the \"Creative Projects\" program, one of its first actions, and had a first edition last April, while the first was held in April. This project, in turn, is related to its counterpart <em>To the rhythm of inclusion<\/em>which is coordinated by CIERIC (Centro de Intercambio y Referencia-Iniciativa Comunitaria) and the UNJC (Uni\u00f3n Nacional de Juristas de Cuba), with the financial collaboration of the European Union, the Italian NGO CISP and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (COSUDE).
