Radio Gladys Palmera to arrive in Havana to participate in Cubadisco 2024 Fair
As part of the meetings of the Cubadisco 2024 International Music Industry Fair, the Radio Gladys Palmera (RGP) platform will hold a series of activities in the Cuban capital during the days of the event.
This project, supported by the Spanish Embassy in Cuba and the ACERCA Training Program for Development in the Cultural Sector, sponsored by the Spanish Agency of International Cooperation for Development (AECID), brings to Cuba a representation of the team, composed of the specialist Andrea Antón and the curator Tommy Meini, who will lead several events that will begin with the inauguration of the Primera Línea event, on May 16, where the panel will be held Gladys Palmera, 25 years of flavor. RGP will also be part of the listening party organized by the Havana RPM collective at Estudio 50. On Saturday, May 18, at 8:00 p.m., they will be offering the master class Passion for Vinyl, Are We Addicted?and then two vinyl set.
A very special moment of his stay will be the recording of five podcast episodes on Cuban music. The programs will address topics such as the role of events in the promotion of Cuban music, musical processes in periods of crisis, the Cuban music scene, and the Cuban music scene. underground Havana, the musical diaspora in the country and innovation and tradition in the industry. Three of these episodes will be recorded live at the Ludwig Foundation of Cuba in the presence of the public.
