Presentation of the book "La Habana, día de un año. More than half a century of a new trova".

The publisher Ojalá presents the book Havana, day of a year. More than half a century of a new trovaby the author Patricia Ballote Álvarez. This event will take place next Monday, May 6 at the Museo Nacional de la Música.

As the official profile of the renowned Cuban singer-songwriter and composer Silvio Rodríguez states, this title evokes the significance of the first concert that he, Pablo Milanés and Noel Nicola gave together at the Casa de las Américas, on February 19, 1968; as well as its connotation in the life of the new creators and of so many young people who felt represented at that moment.

The publication in networks also informs that the work addresses the links of that generation with a particular immense era, and its role in the germination of an artistic movement that would later be recognized as of special transcendence: La Nueva Trova.

Along with the testimony of some of its protagonists and spectators, the book makes available to the public more than a dozen photos of the concert that remained unpublished and were located by the author during the research.
