It's Tuesday and that means there's a new issue of Newness Cubayour window to the latest in Cuban music. As in every edition, we present a selection of 10 songs that cover the wide range of genres and musical proposals that Cuba has to offer.
We start with the Orquesta Akokán and their song Licenseda theme that transports us to other times and that is part of the Snailsthe third production of this phenomenal band. It is followed by Cooking, an explosive collaboration between three young exponents of new Cuban rap, Elephanto, Milton McDonald and EIDI. Iroyé offers us Wines and Airsa proposal that fuses sounds of Cuban music with a contemporary twist, while KENDAYA joins forces with El Futuro Fuera De Orbita to bring us Ta' To.
This week brings a lot of cast, from the predictable hit that combines Bebeshito, El Taiger and producer Ernesto Losa in Mandarina brand, and Pa' La Fotofrom EL YORDY DK and Moikan, to Wampi's doublet in Walkwith Dale Pututi, and Sugar Daddywith El Chulo. We close the selection with two proud Cuban singers of the diaspora; from the recent album by Aymée Nuviola we choose Bonchewhile Lucrecia invites us to celebrate with PURE LOVE.
