Ibermememoria Sonora, Fotográfica y Audiovisual launches call for project support
The Ibermemoria Sonora, Fotográfica y Audiovisual Program invites to the third call for projects for the preservation, access and safeguarding of sound, photographic and audiovisual heritage in Ibero-America.
The program seeks to support archives in Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama and the Dominican Republic, by adopting measures and actions to prevent and minimize the deterioration of archives through preventive conservation and risk management, as well as support for curative management, restoration, organization, digitization, description, documentation, cataloging, dissemination, research and management of sound, photographic and audiovisual heritage.
Projects dealing with these topics may be applied for, as well as public, private or mixed institutions or civil society organizations from the nine Ibermemoria Program member countries that, in turn, have sound, photographic and/or audiovisual collections and archives under safeguard.
Projects will be evaluated if they address one of the following lines: promotion of the gender perspective, promotion of the cultural perspective, and promotion of non-discrimination and diversity.
The program will allocate US$63,000 to nine projects. The total amount allocated will be distributed in the amount of US$7 thousand to support one initiative per member country. Therefore, the applicant must demonstrate that it has the financial, technical and human resources to guarantee the viability of the project.
The minutes of the results will be published and disseminated on June 28, 2024 through the program's website and social networks, along with the official channels of the institutions that are part of the Intergovernmental Council of the program, as well as in other media deemed appropriate by the conveners.
The data and requirements for the registration process, access form and details of the necessary documentation are available on the following website link. Applications will be accepted until May 13.
