Get ready to dance: what you can't miss at the 2024 Salsa Festival (+ Billboard)
The eighth edition of the Salsa Festival will take place from February 20 to 25, 2024 in Havana, with the participation of artists of the genre, DJs and dance teachers.
Club 500, the venue for the event, will host more than twenty concerts by national and foreign orchestras. Among others, we highlight the presentations of Manolín el Médico de la Salsa (Wednesday 21, at 8:15 p.m.), Maikel Dinza y Soneros de la Juventud (Thursday 22, at 10:45 p.m.), El Noro y Primera Clase (Friday 23, at 9:30 p.m.), Maykel Blanco y su Salsa Mayor (Saturday 24, at midnight) and Alexander Abreu y Havana D'Primera (Sunday 25, also at midnight).
Every day, from 8 p.m. until 2 a.m., renowned DJs such as DJ Massimo Roger Greco and DJ El Ratón Rabioso will be livening up the evening.
The Salsa Festival has been held in Havana since 2016 with the aim of showcasing salsa made on the Island, for the enjoyment of the dancing public.

Wednesday 21
From 8:15 p.m. until 12:00 a.m. Manolín "El médico de la salsa", the group Anacaona, the renowned singer and composer Issac Delgado and Manolito Simonet y su Trabuco will be performing.
Thursday 22
As part of the event, a dance workshop will be held from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the Escuela de Danza de 19 y L, with the presence of guest teachers Maykel Fonts, Yanet Fuentes, Fredy Clan and Jennyselt Galata.
While Club 500 will host the presentation of Chispa y Los Cómplices, Iván el Hijo de Teresa, Maikel Dinza and Soneros de la Juventud, and will close the night with Los Van Van, an essential group in the history of Cuban popular music that recently celebrated its 50th anniversary.
Friday 23
From 8:15 p.m. until 12:00 a.m. Lazarito Valdés y Bamboleo, El Noro y Primera Clase, Paulito FG y su Élite and Elito Revé y su Charangón will be performing.
Saturday 24
From 8:15 p.m. until 12:00 a.m. Papucho y Manana Club, Haila María Monpié, GIRO y la Orquesta 8 Y Más and Maykel Blanco y su Salsa Mayor will be performing.
Sunday 25
The closing concerts of the event will be in charge of the musicians of the Original de Manzanillo, JG, the orchestra of Adalberto Alvarez y su Son, and to end the event in style, the unmistakable sound of Alexander Abreu and Havana D'Primera.
