Drawing music: Tixxapura

I am an inveterate music lover, I listen to all kinds of genres and styles. Music has conditioned everything I am, I also use it as therapy to release stress or enhance my mood, it is a daily diet and I think that without it I definitely could not live; in fact, you could say that music has saved my life.

In 2018 began my first steps as an artist of cover artworking with various artists of the Havana hip-hop scene such as Don Oskr, Street Boys. Then in 2020 I started working for the independent label El Espacio, founded by JD Asere & El Individuo; there I broadened my spectrum, achieved more notoriety, and took design more seriously as a means of work. To this day I work as a full time designer and art director in the independent music scene. At some point I would like to work with El B, Toteking, Lil Supa, Conway The Machine, Westside Gunn, J. Cole, Pusha T, and also some metal bands.

There is not a day in my life that I don't play music, from the moment I wake up until I go to bed, even if I'm discouraged I listen to music haha. It always helps me in all processes and day to day life. Rap, Nu Metal and Reparto are currently the genres that can't miss in my playlists. Artists like Lil Supa, Dano, Apache, Toteking, J Cole, Pusha T, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, Bad Bunny, the Dray and Wampi can't miss.

I almost always find inspiration in the music itself, in its mood and vibe, also in the reinvention of concepts. On the other hand, I have managed to make my creativity a language in my work, thanks to the constant practice in the different processes I develop.

Choosing just one album is extremely difficult, but if I had to choose one to take to a desert island, it would be between Lebron by Toteking and Serious by Lil Supa, they are albums that I identify with a lot.
