Daymé Arocena on the BIME Live festival line-up
Cuban singer and composer Daymé Arocena will be part of the lineup of the next edition of the BIME Live festival, to be held in Bogota, Colombia, from May 8 to 11. The event will bring together more than 60 international artists in six outstanding venues in that city.
One of the most exciting aspects of the festival is the diversity of artists from more than 10 countries. From the tropical Caribbean pop of Anakena (Venezuela) to the traditional Galician electronic fusion of Baiuca (Spain), the instrumental rock of Austin TV (Mexico) and the urban approach of Ben Yart (Spain), the musical variety is remarkable.
BIME Live promises to be a unique experience for music lovers and industry professionals. The festival will be a window to emerging talent with international projection, with names such as Diana Burco (Colombia), Ginebras (Spain) and Milena Wharton (Peru), for example.
As stated by its organizers, BIME Live will also generate the convergence of the global music industry in a space for exchange and learning. BIME Pro will host music leaders and experts who will debate and anticipate the future of the sector. Renowned names such as Daouda Leonard (USA), Rocío Guerrero (Spain) and Luis Giraldo (Colombia) will share their vision and experience in panels, masterclasses and workshops.
The festival venue, located in the 85th Street Creative District, will witness a multicultural spectacle and a celebration of new artistic talent. In addition, BIME joins several international agents and agencies to support this unique event, including Sounds from Spain, the Colombian Ministry of Cultures, and Global Toronto, among others.
The project serves as a catalyst for collaboration and cultural exchange between Europe and the Americas. With international delegations from multiple countries, BIME consolidates itself as a bridge to connect professionals and artists from both continents. The importance of this space transcends the specific dates of the festival. The site bime.org offers a platform on-line active throughout the year, facilitating ongoing networking and access to content relevant to the music industry worldwide.
