Cimafunk will be at Coachella 2024

Cuban singer Cimafunk will perform at the upcoming Coachella Valley Music and Art Festival, making him the first Cuban-born artist to perform at the event. This was announced Wednesday in the event's program and on the artist's Instagram profile.

Cimafunk's participation will take place during the first week of the festival, from April 12 to 19, days in which will also arrive on stage very recognized artists of the current scene as Lana del Rey, Peso Pluma, Bizarrap and Young Miko.

The Coachella Valley Music and Art Festival is one of the most famous music festivals in the United States, and has been held every April since 1999 in the Coachella Valley of the Colorado desert in California.

The event features internationally renowned artists, as well as new figures or emerging groups that defend genres such as alternative rock, indie rock, pop, hip hop, electronic music and K-pop. This year's lineup also includes Tyler The Creator, Doja Cat, J Balvin, Jon Batiste, Sublime, and Bleachers, among many others.

Cimafunk's invitation to Coachella comes on top of other career successes in recent months, such as the successful Cimafest and the nomination for the 2024 Grammy Award in the category of Best Global Musical Performance for the song Todo Colores, in which he collaborates with Ibrahim Maalouf and Tank & The Bangas.
